| Inner Mongolia University The
Inner Mongolia University, founded in 1957,was established by
China's Ministry of Education as one of China's key universities
in 1978, and is also the only key national-level university in
the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 1997, the University
became one of China's hundred "211 project"
universities for key construction and development, The
University is located in the capital city of Inner Mongolia
Autonomous Region, Huhhot, a city with a long history and rich
culture beyond the Great Wall. At present, the University
has 2269 staff members, including 1178 full-time teachers and
503 professors and associate professors. A large number of
outstanding scholars from the University, contributors to
outstanding research in their fields, hold important positions
in the Discipline Assessment Group of the Academic Degrees
Committee under the State Council, the National Higher Education
Guiding Committee on Science and Art Teaching, and some
international academic associations, The University now has one
academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 211 doctotate
and master's supervisors, 30 middle aged and young experts with
outstanding contributions both in national and regional levels,
and 70 teachers enjoying special pension delivered by the
government. |
